Parent Coaching - Advanced

Cycle one of Parent Coaching-Advanced begins with Advanced Brain Training (ABT), a NeuroDevelopmental in-home program for ages 7+. It is designed to pinpoint

challenges and provide individualized brain-building activities. The program also provides support without traveling to an evaluation site.  Neurodevelopmental activities greatly reduce and often eliminate the root causes of brain inefficiencies. ABT addresses issues with gross motor, fine motor, speech, language, auditory, and visual function. Concerns with sensory integration, behavioral, and academic issues are also addressed.

Who should use the Parent Coaching – Advanced (PC-A) In-Home Program?

NeuroDevelopment is effective for everyone from birth to 99 years of age. Brain Sprints has specific brain-building programs tailored to various needs and a broad range of age levels. This Program has proven successful for individuals presenting with these challenges:

• Children who are:

• Typically Developing

• Accelerated or Gifted

• Placed in foster care, adopted, or traumatized

• Children who have been diagnosed with:

• Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder

            • Auditory Processing Disorder

            • Autism

            • Bipolar Disorder

            • Developmental Delay

            • Down Syndrome

            • Dyslexia

            • Dyscalculia

            • Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

            • Learning Disability

            • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

            • Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified

            • Sensory Processing Disorder

• Undetermined learning struggles

            • And more …

There is a great need for NeuroDevelopmental brain training programs to help families address these challenges.  Brain Sprints meets that need for families who are unable to travel every four months to one of our evaluation sites for an in-person evaluation with our PC-A system. This is an innovative way to provide families with individualized programs at home.

How does it work?

The PC-A system is a series of in-home, individualized, NeuroDevelopmental programs. This system implements unique activities in four-month cycles that build and strengthen neurological connections. A Brain Sprints professional to review an extensive client history form and the family’s goals.

Each four-month cycle provides:

  • Testing to track progress
  • Review of all documentation by a NeuroDevelopmentalist
  • Customized Individual NeuroDevelopmental Program (INP)
  • Online training for each activity recommended
  • Bi-monthly online group training and support
  • A personal email or phone support
  • Reading and math strategies/recommendations
  • Recommendations for all academic areas upon request

The first year’s cycle consists of two 4-month cycles called Advanced Brain Training 1 & 2. An in-person evaluation with travel to an evaluation site is necessary at the 8-month mark

Time Commitment:

  • 2-3 hours a day
  • 5 days each week

Support is differentiated based on needs identified in the evaluation. Supplies for specific activities will be included as needs are identified and discussed. For this reason, program supplies are purchased separately after the evaluation is completed.

Basis for success

Brain Sprints Coaches believe that all future abilities are determined by what is presented to the individual’s brain, not what a label attempts to dictate. The focus of ABT is to further brain pathway development by addressing the root causes of symptoms associated with labels or learning struggles. The results – accelerated functional and academic abilities!

All PC-A In-Home Programs address brain function in 6 areas:

  • gross motor
  • fine motor
  • speech/language
  • auditory
  • visual
  • tactility

Each area of function is addressed on 9 levels of brain development.

PC-A programs can also address concerns with behaviors, metabolic and academic challenges.

How to get started:

  1. History Form: Complete and submit the history form, digital photo, and payment information.
  2. Orientation/Assessment Packet: A NeuroDevelopmental Approach parent orientation video will be emailed to you along with testing materials you will administer to the participant.
  3. Schedule your one-hour consultation: After submitting your testing packet we will set up your consultation to clarify the challenges and goals. We will also discuss curriculum recommendations.
  4. Brain Training Program: The NeuroDevelopmental brain building activities are taught through our Individualized NeuroDevelopmental Plan (INP) website. The training site will be available within 7-10 days of the consultation and you will be notified via email when your plan is ready to view.
  5. Future Programs: Advanced Brain Training 2 is the next cycle in this year’s program. You will be contacted before the end of this cycle to administer the testing packet and prepare for the next cycle.
