The Best Way to Teach Reading

2 April 2021

Are you and your child struggling with learning to read?

For more than a century and a half, a rather combative struggle over the best way to teach reading has persisted. Both sides are adamant about their recommendations and almost militant against the other side.  Reading curriculum over the years has been like a pendulum swinging back and forth from phonics to sight to phonics.

The controversy roars on with little attention given to anything except technique. This contracted view of reading has resulted in millions of people being unduly diagnosed with dyslexia and other reading and language delays.  The brain is a magnificent creation that can change and inefficiencies can be overcome with the right kind of stimulation.  Don’t settle for coping and compensating, learn to change the brain and reading won’t be such a struggle anymore.
